I spent last weekend on Inishbofin Island off the coast of Galway. There are 200 people, 3 or 4 pubs/hotels and lots of quiet country roads to cycle and walk around in peace. Its worth a visit if you need to switch off for a few days.

Thanks – you have brought back some memories of a New Years visit to ‘Bofin. Back in the 90s. The weather got so bad that no boats ran, so we were eventually helicoptered off – it was very exciting.
