Visiting a friend at the weekend, I stepped outside and realised I had briefly forgotten about the isolation and peacefulness of living away from people and towns.

I recently got a tour of the Arramara Teoranta seaweed processing factory in Connemara. There were lots of big seaweed chomping machines there. They export produce as far away as Japan for industries as diverse as cosmetics and animal feeds.
